| Dragon Armor customized T-34 Below are pictures of a Dragon Armor T-34 with the hatch removed and now in the "open" position with a tank commander that can be added or removed. "51" was added to the front of the tank since there were two other Dragon Armor T-34 tanks with the same changes made and numbered 51-53. ![]() ![]() ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Dragon Armor customized T-34 Hi guys, Tri-Motor, this particular tank was done by a fellow wargamer but I've done the same thing to some of my Dragon Armor German tanks. Will take some pictures of them and post soon. Gort, the commander is made by a company called Fantassin which is out of Spain but available in the US and UK through wargaming retailers. He is a full standing figure but you can also get half figures which would work just as well since you only see the top half of the body. Planenuts, the bricks are part of a 1:72 scale building that is partially destroyed. The grass mat is something you can buy from most model railroad companies or hobby shops. It's a mat that rolls out and has a grassy look to it. Easy8, the turret hatch is actually rather easy to get off. Take off the turret from the hull by turning the turret to the 2 oclock position and then pulling it off. You will see the bottom of the hatch door by looking at the underside of the turret. Use a flathead screwdriver or whatever else and push on the hatch from the inside of the turret. It should pop off since it's not glued down that well. Then position the hatch cover to the open position and glue it in place. Glue a flat surface to the inside of the turret so that the figure you use in the open hatch has something to sit on. Just select the figure you want to use and you're all done. If you can't push the hatch off from the inside, you may try an exacto knife and pry it off from the top of the turret, but that may cause paint damage (which is still easily fixable). From start to finish, it should only take about 5 minutes to do with the drying time of the glue taking the longest. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Dragon Armor customized T-34 Very cool! In addition to collecting the Dragon tanks I also build some of the kits. the "High tech" kits come w/ a variety of metal parts and make excellent sources for spare parts for conversions. @ about 12-15 bucks each they are not to spendy to pick up for spares etc. Also the decal sheets come in handy for building variations. | |||||||||||||
