Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

Okay many ppl may flame me but I think dragon F-14B Red Rippers is quite good.

I only have four dragon WWII aircrafts and this F-14B is my first dragon modern jet collection. But i don't think I want to buy another dragon modern jet because the requirement to assemble lots of bits and pieces(some are loosly fit-may fell without notice hence lost) which make the model severely lacking in solidity.

Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

My favorite is probably their Wildcat, would have been their Hellcat, but I have a feeling Hobbymaster's will take over the crown from them. As for their jets, I'd have to say it is probably their F-16s, although their old F/A-18C Hornets are pretty good. Dragon's F-16s are really good models as well, especially their landing gear, since they come as a single unit with gear and well...way before FOV/Century made their Tomcats. Dragon's older C model Hornets are pretty good as well, especially their VFA-25 version, which is my personal favorite, with the exception of the Amraams on on its wingtip pylons. Dragon's F model Hornets are a bit less accurate, they have the C model's speedbreaks except for the VFA-41 version, which is finally an accurate Super Hornet.

As for Dragon's Tomcats, save your money, the liveries are pretty good, but for fit and finish, as well as overall quality and accuracy, go for FOV or even Witty.

I'll have to say my current fave is the Graf Fw-190 followed by the Bar 109.

Cool Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

To me it would be the Millie P-51 ( best colour scheme ), but I have to say that I prefer any P-47, especially the dark blue one, because they seem to be the easiest to assemble, the little pieces fit quite solidly ( at least on mine ) and their colour schemes and overall looks are on a par with the much frailer P-51's. This is just my personal experience and taste ...and my first post in this forum .

Greetings from across the Atlantic,
Paulo

Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

Welcome Paulo, and I agree, the Millie G (or sometimes P) is one of my favorite pieces in my collection! And the Dragon P-47s are great, I really like Klibbe's "Little Chief"...and have been thinking about getting the "Dallas Blonde".

Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

I am smitten with my two latest purchases: The new VF-17 Corsair and the Grabreski P-47. Allowing for all the fiddly bits, I think that Dragon makes the best P-47's and F4U's out there. The P-51's not bad either.

Now where's that Dragon P-38???

Re: Your #1 favorite Dragon

I have to say the Eagleston P-47 and the Saucy Susie. I really like the details on them ,like the under wing racks not the typical plain hard points you get with other P-47's.
