Re: 616 Sqn. Spitfire Squadron Leader LH Buck Casson DFC, AFC

Guys,

29 1/72 Spitfires from Corgi, Witty, Dragon, and the superb Gemini Aces. And yes I have the Russian one on order! Not counting 2 1/32 Corgi Spits and a Franklin Mint 1/48.

The only Mkvb with a similar paint scheme I have is John Kent's Modelzone version which is not great and I bit sloppy for the price. Willpower is in short supply when I see a Spit!

I'm sure that many also suffer from Mustangitis, Corsairitis, Hurricaneitis, Typhoonitis, Phantomitis, and other incurable medical conditions!

Re: 616 Sqn. Spitfire Squadron Leader LH Buck Casson DFC, AFC

I just got my Spit in and she's a beaut but once again I'm disapointed with the fit of the parts. The landing gear are REAL loose and the cannons had to be sanded to make fit....and once again I lost another aerial after it bounced off my desk on on to a dark colored carpet that you can't see little pieces to save your own life

Nice pics Tyler -- good-looking Spit! YOu can try putting some fine fabric, such as nylon from leggings, over the end of the tube of a vaccuum cleaner and carefully run it over the area where you think the "lost" aerial might be... I've dug a few out of my plush dark green carpet with this trick, and I'm now resorting to a dab of white glue with all my Dragons on display...

Sorry there parsig! I've been going a million miles an hour today and for some reason I was thinking Harry asked for pics...
