F/A-18F Super Hornet Jolly Roger VFA-103

Today i got my first Dragon F-18F Super Hornet of the famed US Navy's VFA-103 Jolly Rogers.
These Dragon F-18F's are really a cool looking jet fighter.
I put a Witty Next to it that i bought from Louie so you can see the two together.
One little problem i need a pilot for my Dragon....i'll do that later
Now i have all the Jolly Rodgers fighters
Enjoy the pics.

Great photos STARMAN 352ND. One thing, you've got the drop tanks on back to front on your Dragon F/A-18F .

Re: F-18f Super Hornet Jolly Roger Vfa-103

I have to say after looking at both Witty and Dragon F-18 it's a tie for which one is best.
They both have their pros and cons.
With the Stands,Pilots,Cockpit,ETC.
I really like the gear chocie you have with Dragon.
Most of my jets are on the stands anyway because it gives me more room to display planes under them....Witty's anyway does because there much taller.
As far as the paint jobs go...Well Dragon looks a little better.
The Jolly Rogers is my Favorite US Navy Fighter Group .

Somebody needs to clue Witty in that white ordnance went out of vogue 20 years ago...

Re: F-18f Super Hornet Jolly Roger Vfa-103

I just got this Sexy Superbug in the mail today and I'm having some trouble putting on ordinance. My drop tanks fit but there too loose so when I put her on the stand, the tanks drop off. Could be realistic, but I don't want them to drop on my shelf

Also my doubled bomb racks (forget what their called, but they go on top of the regular pylons and they aren't holding any ordinance) won't stay on either. Anyone else have this problem and if so, what could I do? Thanks.

use a dab of Elmers, this is a pretty common problem with Dragon's fiddly bits -- I assembled two Dragon superbugs today and had to glue in most of the gear doors...

You'd have to wait for another 20 before Witty decides to dump white ordnance, IF they are still in business...They must have a truckload or two of those white missiles they painted the first day of production!

The Jolly Rogers Superbug by Dragon looks nice to me - anyone tell me where I can find one?

Take it out and play with it

Question Re: F-18f Super Hornet Jolly Roger Vfa-103

Nice pics JP. Two questions, does this Dragon F18F have the airbrake issue mentioned in other posts? Does the model come with the ordance as displayed on your models?
