Got some great additions in the mail today!!!

I sure do love Dragon models. I don't have any Geminis yet, but Dragon is worlds ahead of Corgi in the 1/72 fighter department. I wanted a D-9 with an interesting paint scheme and found this one. The Corsair and the Hellcat, I couldn't resist. $25 shipped for both?...I practically stole them!!! I personally think that the Dragon Hellcat looks better than the Hobby Master one, and man, is it a heavy model! The only problem with that one was that the guy didn't send the pitot tube with it! I'll have to see what I can scrounge. The Corsair is beautiful. Dragon really did their homework, and the plane has many of the -1A features as opposed to the -1D Essex Corsair that I also own. Corgi Corsairs, while nice, are kind of a one plane, different paint scheme sort of affair (with the exception of the -4 Mig killer from Korea which I own. That one at least has the correct cowling/prop. This is my first attempt at posting pictures, so I hope it works.

Nice additions! Dragon truly makes some great models. It's too bad that they have lost interest/momentum with the warbirds. The Corsair and Hellcat releases are tops. Take a look at their P-51D's and P-47's also - very nice. Some minor issues with gear, etc but still some of the best diecast out there.

Yes, I agree and Dragon also makes a good-lookin' F4F Wildcat as well. I love the "Operation Torch" one.

Nice snags! I just ordered "White 15" and Petie 2nd from TFM a few days ago. They'll be my first Dragons.

Re: Got some great additions in the mail today!!!

You won't be disappointed if my purchases so- far are any representative of their quality. I want to get the Wildcat but am waiting on a good deal on one. I was even thinking of getting the FM-2 and fixing the Pinnochio spinner on it to make it look presentable, but we'll see. Can anyone rate the Dragon Stukas? How do they compare w/ Corgi and Hobby Master. I have read previous threads about this before, and it seems like people are pretty divided. I bought the Dragon P-51 "Shark mouth" and was pretty impressed with it as well.
