Re: Dragon and the F-22A

Take a close look at the skin coloration...yep it is shiny...raptors paint contains a silver/metallic mixture!!! Very hard to replicate yet it looks amazing!!

Re: Dragon and the F-22A

NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! We want an F-22A from Dragon!!!! Now it will be a race between witty and dragon to see who gets them out first! Three major concerns on these birds though

1. THEY HAVE TO GET THE COLORATION RIGHT!!!! RAPTORS ARE NOT PAINTED WITH A FLATCOAT!!!

2. Raptors have bombays and bombay doors that OPEN AND CLOSE!!! can we at least get some varation!!

3. The F-22 has gears that go up and down!!!!!!!

Well, seeing as WW is now doing gear options, if they get the paint right, this could be good news.

Re: Dragon and the F-22A

Haha bandit95, what's make u believed that DW will get the coloration right than WW??? Look at all modern jets from DW, how they can compare with WW (maybe just exclude F/A18).... I agreed that WW dont have landing gear option, but nothing to make sure that they still do it with F22.

Re: Dragon and the F-22A

I posted these a couple of weeks ago, but thought I'd post them again. This would make a good looking diorama.

Thanks for posting this again...the -22 with the external tanks looks pretty interesting. I hadn't seen one with external hardpoints yet.

Bring it on! Let's hope WW will put out all the stops to get a nice looking Raptor before X'mas 08.

Re: Dragon and the F-22A

I'd still feel safest with HM doing the F-22A over Dragon or Witty Wings. Still, I'd be happy if DW or WW did it instead of what GC provided. I sure hope GC producing the plane didn't take away from another manufacturer's consideration in doing the F-22. The GC Raptor, from my personal experience, was junk with mismatched parts (coloration & fit) and its overall sloppy appearance!

Modern aircraft are not my thing, but why wouldn't Century Wings tackle one of these F-22 bugggers? Looking at everyone's pics in their collections, they seem to be the best company for producing modern fighters.

Re: Dragon and the F-22A

Must be E.S.P. I guessed Witty would also do the F-22/35. I think Witty would be a fine choice and an affordable one at that. With such an new and evr popular bird perhaps they both will make this model and we can all go home happy. I am in the market for the Gaincorp F-22 Raptor someone PM me with an offer please.
