Re: New russian front stuka

It is very refreshing to see a unique stuka livery. Corgi was doing a good job, however their last attempts were rather half hearted. I have always been a big fan of the JU87.

Unhappy Re: New russian front stuka

I just got in the Russian Front Stuka Model # 50321 from TFM today. Maybe I'm getting jaded, but I just don't like the top paint scheme. I do appreciate the fine pad printed lettering on the underside. But the top just leaves me cold for some reason. I'm thinking that this model would need some weathering to dull it down and make it look right. This is one of those times that since on the real aircraft the white wash was applied in the field, the green should be weathered so it gives the right overall impression. I don't usually go in and weather my models or make modifications, but I think this model begging for something!

yeah, you have a point, perhaps this is one HM should have done!

If you do modify it, let us know

I agree. The photos on TFM look great, but when I slouched on over to Burbank's House of Hobbies to see it in person, the model left me cold. So to speak. So I left with GA's Buzz Buerling Spitfire instead. And ordered Dragon's Hans-Ulrich Rudel JU-87G-2 (DRW50200). With the way Dragon is going, it'll be the last Dragon model I purchase, more's the pity.

Nrrrm! Whoosh! Rat-tat-tat!

Great looking model. I guess this one will be no.14 when added to my collection of Stukas. It's Christmas already.
