Good evening, gentlemen.

Has anyone ever opened up a brand new Dragon Warbirds release and immediately discovered that an important part was missing? I opened up mine today (50001 - Chuck Yeager's ride) and found that the canopy was missing. If anything else was missing I wouldn't be nearly as upset. I can't really display it without a canopy, and because this is a first release, the canopys from newer Dragon P-51Ds don't fit - not to mention they don't have Chuck Yeager's name on the canopy frame.

Has anyone ever been able to get Dragon to send out replacement parts? I have sent an email to DragonModelsUSA asking them for help. I sent an email to Dragon's main website asking for a replacement part. I sent an email to the eBay seller that I bought it from, but I don't think he has any more in stock. I don't want to return it if I can get a replacement.

Hopefully someone out there has been in the same situation and has good news for me?

Geez Milo you are not having a great deal of luck. First the Lanc and now this. Hope someone here can help you.

Dragon Cares has always been good to me, even when I fudged the truth alittle to get a prop for my Old Crow conversion.

I've also used Dragon Care in the past, with mixed success. If the part is in their warehouse, they'll send it to you, frequently for free. But they don't have everything stocked; it just depends on the model and the part. I quickly replaced a broken Bf-109 prop, but have never been able to replace a broken nose gear on a DW 1/400 TriStar.

Congrats on first the bird, which is one of my favorites, and secondly on the replacement part. The one time I dealt with Dragon about a problem I was taken care of right away.

Got the replacement canopy today in HUGE box (compared to the size of the item) wrapped fifteen times in bubble wrap.

Good on Dragon Care! They must have noticed when I mentioned I have A LOT of their diecast hardware/plasticware (tanks at least) in my collection.
