Re: Dragon P-51B Nooky Booky Canceled

Mr. Chairman, a point of personal preference, if I may. You're goning to love that Gemini "Berlin Express"; it's one of their best in my opinion. I also have two other Geminis; "Bald Eagle" and "Ferocious Frankie", but snce I already have 18 P-51s I doubt that I'll be adding another one soon. As for Dragon P-51s, I have two of theirs: P-51D Blue 375thFS/361stFG and P-51D 12thFS/18thFG Korea "Shark's Mouth. The DW P-51s are very well done, not in the same class as the Geminis, but nothing to be hidden away and never seen again either. I hope all this doom & gloom about Corgi and Dragon proves to be false: they both produce good stuff.

Thanks stalag8611 - I was hoping that the Geminis were as good as I'd heard. I was thinking of making "Bald Eagle" my last Mustang purchase - I have 4 Easy Model & 4 Dragon Wings P-51Ds as well as the two Gemini P-51Bs. I too hope that the doom & gloom turns into another glorious year for us diecast collectors.

Re: Dragon P-51B Nooky Booky Canceled

I Love the Dragon P-51Ds and the Dragon B/C would have been a winner, but there just isn't any market for it.. Sure, some will sell, mostly to the Mustang nutters, but there just isn't enough of them to justify a brand new mold and another flood..
Dragon makes some of the finest P-51s, P-47s and Fw-190's that have ever been on the market, but if the rumors are true that they are getting out of the diecast aircraft market, it wouldn't hurt my feelings too much and it would probably give their existing product a boost.. I just wished it could do something for the market...

Re: Dragon P-51B Nooky Booky Canceled

I'm sure many would've purchased the Dragon B/C models just because they have the D models from them as well. I was looking forward to getting as many Razorback Mustangs as I could. I prefer those to the bubbletop T-bolts and Mustangs.
Had they produced the first three as captured birds with German crosses they'd feel better about the new mold. I don't get why they would drop the P-40 though. That had plenty of promise and would have done well. Oh well I guess Dragon is going the way of Matchbox.

I hope they do not go the way of Matchbox, they make some really nice looking models. That and I am still hoping to see the two Fw 190s they have advertised for this year.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
