| Dragon and Corgi P-47D Razorbacks Finally picked up a Dragon P-47D Razorback (Thanks to a sweet deal from PappyB) and can make a mini comparison with the Corgi version. Both are nice looking models, but have to give a slight edge to the Dragon version. I like the canopy mold on the Dragon one because it does the canopy separately as apposed to Corgi version which has a bit of the fuselage in part of this mold. Another feature that looks to be done better on the Dragon version is the antenna mast; the one on the Corgi version looks just a bit large to be scale. Dragon also adds just a few smaller bits of detail that gives it an edge, the propeller markings and ordinance pylons for example. Both are nice looking models, but have to in my opinion give a slight edge to Dragon's version. ![]() ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Nice review CC. I have a few Corgis along with one Dragon bubbletop. I'm looking out for a razorback or two now. As you say Dragon has the edge on the detailing. I recently picked up 5 Dragon Fw190s from Lenswerks too. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Dragon and Corgi P-47D Razorbacks Hey nice Dragon T-bolt there ... I don't think it's even close really, I think Dragon's jugs wipe the sky with the Corgi -- I think Dragon nailed the overall profile better, and gives you more of the little things (including the little fiddly bits, I know...) ![]() | ||||||||||||||

Your right about the Dragon P-47 being a great looking model (I got really lucky on this one ). When you set it next to the Corgie P-47, well,,,,, it just even looks better.

Thanks, I am a pretty big fan of both the Dragon Fw 190As and their Bf 109Gs. I have 9 of the Fw 190s and 7 of their Bf 109Gs.

| Re: Dragon and Corgi P-47D Razorbacks Dragon is definitely the winner over Corgi in my book, too, though I have some of each - 4 Dragons and 2 Corgi. You just can't beat Dragon for a great set of Jugs . . . uhhh . . . I mean P-47 Thunderbolts. ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Dragon and Corgi P-47D Razorbacks For you P-47 fans, Monkey Depot has a very good deal on some of them. I've ordered P-47D "5X5"; P-47C "Missouri Kid"; and P-47D "Okie" for $39.85 + shipping. That'll put 12 P-47s into my hanger. I think Dragon makes the best of the Jugs. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Dragon and Corgi P-47D Razorbacks I have this one in my hanger and it beats Corgis efforts, Corgis are good but Dragon are very good (and i love the twiddly bits). | ||||||||||||||
