wolfpack 2002 f-16

does anyone own the wolfpack f-16 and if they do would they mind giving me a quick review and posting a couple of pics, ive just bought one off ebay and its my first viper so im wondering if there's any major innacuracies or faults i should know about,

ive seen a couple of pics from dragon but the colours look wierd so if i could see an actual model that someone has in there collection i would really appreciate it

thanks.........kwiky

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

hehe yeah well it was an impulse buy lol,
it only had 2 minutes remaining when i found it and ive been looking for a normal coloured f-16 for ages, i dont like all these tiger meet ones or the adversarial squadron ones so i'd put a huge bid in without even thinking about whether it was any good or not

the thing is, before i'd discovered this forum i would of never done that, you lot are a bad influence on me

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

I think the engines (the nozzle?) is not correct for this block with a larger intake. Not very sure but I will not be too bother with it as this is nice-looking model.

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

No, this is one of the few diecast F-16s that does have a correct nozzle/intake combination. It's about the most accurate F-16C out there.

Suffers from the same minor problems that all Dragon F-16's do, but the big/important things are right.

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

I wasn't too sure about the nozzle part. I tried comparing my 50008 2001 Tiger Meet 79th FS F-16C and 2002 Wolfpack with the photos of the actual planes (The pictures can be found in F-16.net. Just need to enter the serial numbers). The end part of the nozzle looks more correct for the 79th FS F-16C.

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

Dragon's nozzle isn't that good---it may not look exactly like a GE should, but it sure isn't a PW. And the engine itself is a perfect GE F110. (I'm one of the few people here that actually look up the exhaust to check the turbines)

Re: wolfpack 2002 f-16

The original is a F-16C block 40E serial:89-2013.
It misses the 'beer cans', the bulgy main gear doors, landing light inside nosewheel door, some aerials on the nose and probably more details. But I think it's an acceptable model and I appreciate it more than the models from Witty.
