Thanks for welcome Folgore, I too started off collecting with modest ambitions, just wanting to get a single helicopter, and accidentally discovered the world of diecast aircraft, now many acquisitions later...

Also thanks to Joshua for the updated list.

I'm mostly interested in jet fighter aircraft , and not really wanting to open up yet another can of worms, BUT,,,, any advice on F-15's and F-16's ??? I do like the option of having the ability to retract the landing gear, so that leaves Witty out.

I think most of the F-15's from every company are roughly equal. However, don't buy an F-15E. They're not even CLOSE to being accurate. They don't have a SINGLE thing that makes an F-15E, an "E". They're not even correctly D's.

F-16's are a very complicated issue. It's more "release by release" than mold vs mold. Dragon's Wolfpack F-16 is the most accurate of the C/D's. Any Dragon A *should* be good, but I've never gotten good enough pics to identify exactly what parts it has.

i just got a dragon F-15E and i love it, im not a rivet counter though so if absoloute accuracy is a the be all and end all of your collection then take David Hingtgen's advice and steer clear, if like me however your more interested in a well built model that looks like an F-15E and you wouldnt notice if it has a pod on the wrong fin then they're worth a look,

the paint is awesome, the model is well put together a weighs loads, i added bombs, external fuel tanks and pilots and its my favourite model,

i also own dragon F-18 super hornets and they are also worth the money in my oppinion.

Hi to all,

My first visit here, was invited by David. I also own a few dragons, F-15, 16 and 18 respectively. Like kwiky, I admired them for their representation of my fav us jets. Never owned a CW or Witty as of this time, as it is also David's recomendation, prior to visiting this forum, to check their diecast. Im looking forward to my first shipment of CW and Witty, I can finaly see their differences.
