Dragon Erich Hartmann Bf 109G-6

I just received a Dragon Erich Hartmann Bf 109G-6 "Yellow 1" that came with the mail today. It makes for a nice looking model too. I now have three Erich Hartmann Bf 109s, Matchbox version, Franklin Bf 109F and now a Dragon Bf 109G. Funny thing is that the Matchbox and the Dragon version both have similar paint scheme. I also have another FM Hartmann Bf 109G coming in the mail, and later down the line will try to pick up the other Hartmann Bf 109G that FM has. With the exception of correcting the horizontal stabilizer and adding the appropriate rudder detail pretty nice looking model. I really like the mottling did on this model. Model with even better if the folks at Dragon had dialed in a bit of dihedral, but overall still a nice looking model. It would really be nice if the folks at Dragon put out a few more of their Bf 109Gs (Not to enthusiastic about their Bf 109Es though).

I have the Dragon Hartmann also--excellent model.

I am still waiting on a 1:72 scale Hartmann with a tulip!

That would seem to be a no brainer to put that paint scheme out. I am not sure why dragon did not opt to make that version, but hopefully it is a possible future project. It would definitely be one I would want to have sitting on my shelf.

Yes, me too. I did buy MRC's Hartman winter camo version, but I would like a more "normal" livery.

Looks nice, Cruv' but that (er) 'Greenish' hue, HARDLY looks like RLM.74 (LOL, !)

.....I'm presuming it's the residual 'Light', or the 'effect' of the 'Digital-Camera' , right ?????????

Not sure why it looks abit off in the photo. I have a bottle of AeroMaster RLM 74 GRAUGRUN paint to compare with and in ambient light it looks fairly close. I had similar concerns with the HM Bf 110 because of some photos I had seen, but it looked just fine when it came out of the box, more subdued than in the pictures.

Cruver,
Why don't you like the Dragon ME109 E models? Just curious, thanks.

Cruver,

I do have the Dragons Bf 109E-1 and for some reason the profile looks a bit off. It looks almost like the profile is just a little to tall and expecially so up towards cowling portion of the model. I do plan on picking up their Bf 109E-3 for one reason, and that would be because nobody else puts out an earlier Bf 109E-1 or E-3 model. Still overall, just do not think this is one of Dragons better molds and just cannot get to excited about it.
