You can never have too many P40s.

Soooo right Jim and djjeffhall! And Corsairs! Don't forget those beautiful, gull-winged Corsairs.

I still hope Dragon makes this model.

Your the man djjeffhall,

I really hope that Dragon are too far down the line to pull the P40.

Perhaps you and me should start to put the heat on Hawk to get HM to make us a P40B, and C,D,E,F etc etc,

No Jim, you are the man, I merely exist in your shadow.

By the way, don't forget the K model P40. (Yes, I have the IXO which is the only current K model and yes, I like it.)

(Or the Q model!)

Anything for a weird life.

I would like to see Dragon put out LT. Boyd D. “BUZZ” Wagner's P-40 from the 17th Pursuit Squadron in the Philippines.

Kind words, thank you,

Sad story with that one.
Too little too late eh.

Would have been a world beater if Curtis had got that off the drawing board by 1942, it might even have overshadowed the P51, (maybe)!

The more I read about the management at Curtis the more I realise why the company failed.
They had a great designer but wouldn't listen to him so he packed his bag and left.

There are many what ifs with Curtis, eg, what if they had stuck with the radial engine?
Would we have ever seen the P47?
Could the Hawk have become the big bad old bird in place of the P47?
Lots of internal politics and not a little of the grab the money now and let the future take care of itself attitude.

Heck I could write pages on this topic.

God Bless America.

Just noticed on The Motor Pool's website, that Dragon has officially canceled both the P-40E and P-51B as of March 6th.

Draggin maybe getting out of the diecast warbird business.

Re: No P-40 / P-51B at Nurnberg show

Just noticed on The Motor Pool's website, that Dragon has officially canceled both the P-40E and P-51B as of March 6th.

So did Gemini satisfy all the the P-51B demand? Is the Gemini just too high quality to even try to compete against? Or was the reception to the Corgi P-51B effort (cough) so poor that Dragon thought nobody wanted any more Bs?

This leaves Corgi as the sole P-40E source, unless HM or Gemini ever get around to making one.

Well, on the up side, more money for Hobby Master 110s and P-39s.
