I was looking at the Dragon Models USA page an noticed that there was another new Fw 190 under coming soon for March 2008. Not sure if this will fall victim to the delays as the others have, but picture of it shows some promise though. Model is a FW190A-4 3./JG.5, Orel, 1943 (Leutnant Josef Jennewein) and has an interesting looking paint scheme. It definitely differs from the majority of the Fw 190 paint schemes they currently have. I am still holding out that they also might still put out a few more of the Bf 109Gs.

Despite their flaws, The 190s from Dragon are the best available in 72nd. I have the Corgi ones too but they are not in the same league.

I will get this and the JG54 one I think.

I like the Dragon Fw 190s and their Bf 109Gs. I have 8 of their the Fw 190s and currently have 4 of the Bf 109Gs with one more on the way. Definitely looking forward to adding the two Fw 190s that are currently projected on their site. It is nice to see that they are throwing some mix into the paint schemes of the new offerings. Hope that there might be a chance of even a few more Fw 190s in the future.

This was originally scheduled for release a few months back, so I'm afraid it's already fallen into the purgatory of Dragon Delayed Releases...


My theory on the delayed releases is that Dragon employees never recovered from last year's blow-out Chinese New Year celebrations ... and now it's time for this year's party...

On the plus side, this is a pic of the actual plane, not just art, so I would say chances are good that this will come soon..

Makes me wonder why there are no pre-production photos of the one that is supposed to come out first.

Hey Harry, not to burst your bubble but wasn't there a picture of the actual VMFA-242 F-18D and "The Lord is my Shepherd" ? Hopefully you're right, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up!
