Re: Pics: Dragon Edelweiss Me262

How about the actual jet mounts? On the corgi's mold from the pictures I've seen, they look rather slim. I dont think this is the case with the dragons, is it?

Re: Pics: Dragon Edelweiss Me262

how does the dragon 262 compare to its corgi counterpart? I've been thinking about making a purchase from either one, but still cant decide.I really hate the fact that I have to apply the swastika, but other than that, which is the better mold?

Thanks

I would have to say that the Dragon version is superior and looks far more realistic than its Corgi counterpart (I have both and have also seen the real thing close-up .)

No, but many folks think Dragon's are too chunky... which I tend to agree with, but it's also possible Corgi's are too slim, dunno. And Dragon doesn't have the radial antenna behind the cockpit as it should, and the gun recesses should be drilled out a bit more. However, I think the paint jobs and panel lines are more realistic and that's what pushes me over the fence into Dragon Camp for the 262.

I did this comparision a while ago, check it out and form your own opinion -- with so much duplication of the schemes it may just make sense to go on price...

Re: Pics: Dragon Edelweiss Me262

I remember years back seeing a two seat Me 262 a Willow Grove NAS. Only other two Me 262s I have seen has been at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino California and the National Air and Space Museum. Just curious to know if anyone has pictures of the two seat job that was at Willow Grove.

Pappy

thanks for the link. It was exactly what I was looking for (a direct side-by-side comparison). I'll stick with the corgi's 262 as it does look more correct.
IAnother factor is the lack of swastikas on the dragon models (No swastikas = no purchase).

Re: Pics: Dragon Edelweiss Me262

After taking a hard look at both of them I don't know if I could call one superior over the other..but for that kind of money that's a really good find I'd have to get that one myself

Re: Pics: Dragon Edelweiss Me262

Ok, I have the model, and the Fedex lady just dropped off the decals I ordered through Squadron. Does anyone have a side shot of this one for determining what type of Swastika would be appropriate?
