| F-18 Super Hornet Canopy I really like my VFA-41 Black Aces XO F-18 I just got, but the canopy does not fit good at all. When looking straight on you can see that the fit of the canopy to the windscreen ( if that is the correct term ) is way off. They just do not line up at all. It might not be so noticable to anyone who does not appreciate airplanes, but to me it ruins the look of the airplane. I almost feel as if I have to display it in the ground mode with the canopy open. Even if I try to file down part of it, I still think it will be off centered. Any suggestions, or did I just happen to get a slightly off centered canopy that came off the production line and was missed by the quality control inspectors. | |||||||||||||

| Re: F-18 Super Hornet Canopy 'driver, I just checked mine and it's the same way...I never noticed it before because I've always had it displayed with canopy open since day one (good thing too because I agree it would be unacceptable for inflight display as it is)...Unfortunately, I don't really see any good way of correcting it. Heck, it doesn't have any crewmembers in it anyway....park it on the ramp and let the fresh air in. | |||||||||||||
