New JG-54 Trautloft Fw-190 due soon

I have not checked the Dragon site in months I don't think and when I saw the WANTED Trautloft FM 109 ad and started searching, I found this.
Almost forgot this company made diecast planes.

This is good news for me.

LOL. I'm moving away from 1/72 but I'll still pick this up as it is an ace whose career I respect.

I still want the FM, though.

Oh, sorta forgot it was you chiefs70. No luck so far but I'll dig a little more. They have a way of turning up.

Re: New JG-54 Trautloft Fw-190 due soon

I would LOVE for Dragon to produce this bird. She would go really well with the Corgi winter bird and the winter Heinkel. Is there a estimated date for this? (Granted that Dragon estimated dates are give or take 12 years..... )

Anything for a weird life.

Curious if this is a new Dragon Fw 190 mold? Picture of model shown looks to have a rudder for a Fw 190A-3 while their current molds the rudder supports models of the Fw 190A-4 and later models.

Re: New JG-54 Trautloft Fw-190 due soon

Dragon's website now list a Feb 08 arrival. Of course this could get moved back, however I am hopeful this is only a new livery and not a new mold. If it is a new mold, we can expect it about the same time as the P51B and P40 In other words the near side of NEVER....

Might just be a new Dragon Fw 190 soon.

For months now I have been looking at the Dragon USA page and seen artist depiction of a white Fw 190A-4 with and initial release date of March of 2008. Then I saw that they had bumped it back to April,,, well at that point thought it just might be another future cancellation. Then today I received Summer 2008 Historic Aviation catalogue, and I liked what I saw on page 32. One of the items is a 1/72nd diecast Fw 190A-4 flown by 58 victory ace Hannes Trautloft, which just happens to be the same as the Dragon description. It it had another artist depiction, well probably would not have looked at it too optimistically. No artist depiction on this one, yep,,,, actual picture of the model. Small picture, but looks pretty good. Maybe there is some hope that Dragon will start putting out some WWII fighters again. Catalogue also had FM Catalinas in it,,,, pretty pricey.

Re: New JG-54 Trautloft Fw-190 due soon

JG54 is one of my favorite Luft groups. If there is a diecast model at 1:72 scale with a green heart on it, I have it or will have it!! Trautloft was a great leader and stood up for his fellow pilots. I will purchase this model once it is released.

I hope that since this one is actually a picture of the model, that we might actually see it soon.
