Re: What do you guys think of this one???

It's really loud, what theater was it in? Not one I'd rush out for I don't think. Are the ailerons movable or cross-connected to the elevators?

Re: What do you guys think of this one???

My first reaction is that it looks great. What is the history of the plane and is the blue accurate? Has Dragon annouced this in diecast? Where did you get the info? Thanks Tank Nut.

Squadron Code indicates it was an aircraft of the 63rd Fighter Squadron, 56th Fighter Group, 8th AAF, based at Boxted, England. Serial number indicates it is a P-47M. I don't know the history of the particular aircraft, but the 56th Fighter Group had a long proud history within the 8th AAF, stubbornly hanging onto and defending its P-47 aircraft against the onslaught of re-equipping units with P-51s.

For those of you who do not like the camo scheme of the ORIGINAL aircraft (not necessarily the model, for the shades and tones may be incorrect), I say, TOO BAD! I think it is GLORIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL!

Re: What do you guys think of this one???

Here's a pic of a similar looking plane from the book "Handbook of Fighter Aircraft" - doesn't look too bad.

This one is from the same squadron and group (and same as model Dragon depicts) as previous post.

The markings are accurate.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
