Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

Can some one tell me the difference between the following three models? I can't find any!

50177: F18F Hornet (U.S. Navy VFA-41 'Black Aces' CAG) exclusive model for cyber-hobby

50179: F18F Super Hornet (VFA-41 "Black Aces", USS Nimitz (CVN-68), 2003)

50284: F18F Super Hornet (VFA-41 Super Hornet (w/ 3 Figures Crewmen and Flight Deck)

Thanks in advance, Jos

Re: Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

50177 is the CAG: http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-14444.html

50179 is the CO (not the XO as Dragon says): http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-14196.html

50284 is also the CO, but includes a small diorama: http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...iew-15118.html

Re: Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

I have both the 50179 and 50284.

Unlike the F-15C that came with additional missiles and fuel tanks, the two superhornets are exactly the same. I bought the 50284 because I could not resist the 3 figures and carrier deck cardboard that came with it.

Re: Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

Thanks for your answers, only saw that one ac (50177) have 100 and the other two (50284 and 50179) have 101 as ac#. Otherwise they look excactly the same.

Thanks again, Jos

Re: Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

Actually, I felt cheated when I saw that Dragon is releasing 50284 ... If only I had held back my purchase of the earlier VFA-41 F/A-18F, I would have saved US$40 (the price here in Singapore). Anyway, I gave in and the figures and carrier deck are now displayed with the Witty VFA-27 F/A-18E that comes with a pilot figure (picture found in my other thread).

Re: Dragon Warbirds Expertise wanted

They (Dragon) have done it before with three F15 models. 50104 was released with fueltanks and groundcrew as 50148.
50105 as 50149 and 50106 as 50150, both also with fueltanks and figures.
