Re: New Super E

Here's the list---get anything in green. Presumably the Red Rippers is good as well:

Which Dragon Super Bug Versions Are Correct?

You can also get most Witty F's, not VFA-2 though and I think not 103.

Re: New Super E

I don't have a F-18 in my collection but I think that is going to change here shortly. The Dragon Super E is going to be the first. What do any of you recommend for a two seater F/A-18 in 1/72?

Why I would recommend a Dragon Super F of course!

Re: New Super E

I would suggest to get those which come with sidewinders as the superhornets do not carry AMRAAM on their wing tips. I like both my Dragon and Witty's. But I prefer Witty for the minimal setting up for display required. But aside from the VFA-27 F/A-18E, the rest have missiles painted white which I understand is the case for planes in 1990s and earlier. The Dragon Blacklions also have VF-213 on it instead of VFA-213, if I am not mistaken so I went for Witty's one.

Re: New Super E

I am wanting to get the Tomcatters, but I notice they have AMRAAM missiles on the wingtips. I was wondering if they are glued on or can sidewinders be fitted?

Re: New Super E

Yes. The AIM-120s are detachable. Some of the Dragon's hornets and superhornets come with both AIM-9 and AIM-120. I am not sure about the Tomcatters.

Re: New Super E

Are the permanently attached wing tip launch rails accurate?

Re: New Super E

That's a squadron-by-squadron question (really depends on the plane's lot number). But generally--yes.
