Re: Dragon P-47 - Should I wait

My collection is just begging for P-47's. The question is, should I wait or are the Dragon efforts a good choice?

Wait for what, exactly?

In 1:72 no one can top Dragon's "jugs" .... Maybe if Gemini gets around to it there will be some real competition. Even then, I can't see you regreting having a Dragon, or two, or three....

Re: Dragon P-47 - Should I wait

Hi Conemaugh,

I have all the Dragon P-47's bubbletop and I'm pleased with all of these... when they are completed and on landing gears position !!
The little pieces are hard to fit correctly to have a "normal" landing gear, but the flaps are really sturdy compare to the Dragon P-51D's and the finish and details are really, really nice !!
Don't hesitate to buy some because when you see them, you don't regret it !!

Re: Dragon P-47 - Should I wait

I guess that settles it -- I'll have to put some "Jugs" on the shelf with the 'stangs. Okay then...what liveries do you all suggest. Of course I'll need one (?) of each razorback and bubble top.

Each to their own but my favourite is Saucy Sue, it looks outstanding, indeed I must say it is outstanding.

My favorites are:
Kansas Tornado, Turnip Termites and Little Chief for the "razorback" T-Bolts, and for the "bubble top" jugs, I'd recommend Saucy Suzy and Glenn Eagleston's Skull and Crossbones nose art.

Little Chiefs a a cracker too, these are Dragons finest models, IMHO of course. The Mustangs are awesome.
