Dragon's new Hellcat

I found this pic from the same hobby show the P-40 and P-51B/C shots came from. My prayers have been answered, a three tone Hellcat with red surrounds on the insignia. Oh this is a keeper!!

Re: Dragon's new Hellcat

Very cool. I have a Franklin Mint model of the exact same aircraft.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Dragon's new Hellcat

Question - which version is Dragon making? I've see their early drawings of the blue-gray Flately Hellcat with the early 1942 blue circle and stars similiar to a Wildcat's markings and now we get this three-tone with red surround. Like them both but would only buy one. Anyone know what is really being released? Are they both seperate releases of the same aircraft?

Hey, HotTrap429 -- I can't answer your questions, but I CAN add to your confusion!

The model in the photo above is labeled as item number 50242, while the blue-gray version on the Dragon Models USA website is 50240. So maybe they'll both come out... I hope so, anyway; I'd like the blue-gray version.

Yeah that would be the bees knees getting both the one shown and the blue-gray version. And I almost got the HM ones. Still thinking on the Corgi Cat Mouth three tone though. Would look good next to the Dragon version.
