HMMMMMMMMN. VFA-2 was their first Super Hornet release, and my most-wanted of all. But the mold was quite wrong so I never bought one. But now we have the infamous carrier deck version. What are the odds it's actually a new release with the new mold, and not merely re-packaged unsold backstock? (which Dragon is believed to do occasionally) I really really really want/need pics of the upper rear fuselage of this one to see if it's the corrected mold. (First Super Hornet I ever saw was VFA-2 high-vis, and it was also the closest I'll ever get to one, since it wasn't roped off)

PS--why does the VFA-102 one come fully loaded, but this one is empty except for AMRAAMs (which are incorrect)?

I think those AMRAAMS are a give away that this is probably a repackaged VFA-2 from the first ones. Their VFA-102 came with more weapons but no ext fuel tanks for the wings.

ARRRRRGH. The Mule has it and has pics---it's the original mold, speedbrake and all. And AMRAAMs on the wingtips. Darn, if it was done like the new ones I'd buy it in a second. Sigh. The one Super Hornet scheme I really, really, really want, and both Witty and Dragon have screwed it up.

I keep tellin ya, they're just using these dioramas to try and offload their bountiful existing stock that they can't get rid of. But I guess theres always hope haha
