Dragon Cyber Hobby "Miss Molly" F-14A TOMCAT

I have been asked to post these pictures of my Dragon "cyber-hobby" Miss Molly" F-14A.
I used Century's Aim-7 Sparrow, Aim-9L Sidewinder and Aim-54 Phoenix missles.
So here she is.
Enjoy.

Re: Dragon Cyber Hobby "Miss Molly" F-14A TOMCAT

Is the lack of nose probe accurate on this model?

No it is not accurate. And for this, Dragon has copped a lot of flak by collectors. but really, it is quite simple to add one like i did on my VF-103. The canopy is more accurate than Witty's which is what makes Dragon more appealing to me than Witty's.

OK, thanks, just as I thought.

On the Witty F-14s, understand the early ones had bad canopies (what's with Witty and canopies; they are bad on their F-15s and Su-27s also...), but I have the NASWC version and it looks OK to me. Or am I missing something? (Sorry, I don't mean to highjack this thread...).

In any event, moot point, I'm sticking with CW for any future 1/72 F-14 purchase (I have one already), despite the higher prices.

Its the way they do the front canopy frame. Witty's front canopy frame looks really weird compared the real tomcat. instead of like a slender oval like a cat's eye, witty's has like a fat loop at upper end of the frame. Its as if they decided just to paint it on after screwing up the first one.

OK, I see that. I guess it didn't shock me that bad when I got it. Maybe because I like the airplane's paint scheme!

In any event, it's a relatively minor infraction compared to the canopies on their F-15Ds and Su-27s. However, not as easy to fix as that nose probe on the Dragon...
