Dragon paint jobs

I'm wondering about the white dotted lines on the wings of some of the dragons, I don't see these on other makes...can sombody give me the run down on this?

Thank you.

I just got my Dragon Me-262B Nightfighter from Burbanks House of Hobbies today and boy-oh-boy, the green worm camouflage is riddled with those 'tiny dots' marks - it's soooo terrible!!!
This has got to be the worst camo to be ever put on a diecast....blech!!!

That's too bad, FlyX. Nothing worse than being disappointed by a purchase.

Thumbs down Re: Dragon paint jobs

I hear you, bsmith! If 21st Century could do a better job of applying delicate camo paint ops on their 1/144th planes, I see no excuse for Draggin
not to accomplish the same thing.

Re: Dragon paint jobs

Hey Slammer, the white dotted line on the wings of Dragons Fw-190 and Me-109 also where in black and red, I was able to find a couple of pictures showing these lines..The Fw-190 are a hard to see. My guess is that they where pilots and groundcrew could step on the wing without damaging.

Re: Dragon paint jobs

flyXwire,
Hey there.

Could you explain what you mean by "tiny dot marks" on the camoflague? I just got one of the radar night fighters a few weeks ago and I love it. I'm just curious if I'm missing something? Thanks and sorry you don't like the bird.

Anything for a weird life.

I'll take pictures and post it, it's kinda hard to explain it in words. I do like this bird don't get me wrong, but since it's the only two-seater variant available in the market I will have to redo the camo paint job at some point down the road. I like to
paint mine like this:

Re: Dragon paint jobs

The lines basically mark the "Step" and "No Step" zones of the wing. Dragon's efforts are usually marked with "Nur hier betreten" and "Hier aufholen" which roughly translate to "Enter only here" and "Get up here" respectively. Gemini Aces also have the markings. I've seen them in white, red, yellow and black on different models.

I would suggest you see a doctor immediately about that problem, vision probelms like that can be symptoms of something much worse....
