Dragon Warbirds B-17 1:144

I just had to get this new Dragon B-17 that was coming out to go with my Dragon B-29 and Corgi B-52 1:144 scale models i have.
These are the only 1:144 scale planes i have and i have to say there pretty nice to have around too.
This B-17 does not look bad at all...It also has rubber tires, great detail lines and the props are more to scale then the Corgi B-17 in 1:144.
Just wish they had the front guns showing on this bird but other then that it's a nice little bomber.
I feel these are better then the Corgi B-17.
Enjoy the pics.
JP

I dunno. The nose still looks wrong to me, or maybe it's that the cockpit is too far back?

Re: Dragon Warbirds B-17 1:144

Thanks for the pics JP. Looking at that, it seems the B-29 is not too much bigger than the B-17. I wonder if we'll ever see a B-29 in 1:72 scale? reckon that it would be a great seller!

I just posted a pic for you with the B-29.
B-29 is still way bigger...Still be nice to have one in a 1:72.

Re: Dragon Warbirds B-17 1:144

I don't think Draggin' did as nice a job with this one as they did with the B-29s...They definitely botched the nose on it (looks like it ran into something), and mounted the RDF waay to far back under the fuselage...but it still looks a lot better than Corgi's pathetic effort in this scale. I would probably pick it up if I find it at the right price.

Thanks for doing that. Yes, B-29 is a lot bigger. Still, I'm sure I could find space for at least one of 'em in 1:72 ;-)

Oh, yeah! That would be something. I'd get one right away.

1/48 might be a bit excessive... (although I have seen it as a plastic model).

Pretty nice looking, but, somehow, for me, painted windows just do not not do it!
