| Dragon release schedule? Hey folks, I'm getting slightly to the left of the topic, but it seems that the number of Dragon releases have slowed down signifigantly of late. I know they have a few things on the (near) horizon and that Chinese New Years started last week, but do you think they might be going through a "slow down" in order to increase the "ease" of use of the models? A few folks have pointed out that Dragon has a tendancy to "jump on the bandwagon" with thei models. Once someone puts out xxxx they suddenly announce they have the same bird on the way and flood the market. Is it possible they are actually paying attention to what Gemini and Hobby Master are doing and working on elimnating the "fiddly bit" factor? I know that I'm being ambitious in my suggestions, but we can all dream, right? | |||||||||||||

| Re: Done with Dragon My 'Okie' P-47 and white 9 Hellcat are super with a real 'bang for your buck' feel. The quality on their ME-109G's & FW -190's is also excellent as I have two of each. The 'Big Chief' P-47 got dumped in the pin because the nose fell off, faulty undercarriage, faulty propeller,in other words a piece of canine excrement! The P-51's are good , but fiddly with flap issues on the models I had. The quality on the Gemini P-51B's is better IMHO. Dragon's FW-190Dora is a worthy addition to any collection. Their QC has improved I feel. ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Done with Dragon This was suggested and it worked for me. Dampen the intended location, then apply glue very sparingly to the part then hold. The damp apparently assists the adherence and quick curing of the glue. ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Done with Dragon Had a Dragon Spitfire MkVb 616 Squadron RAF arrive today as it was on order and boy I'm impressed. I bought because I'm a Spitfire nut, and also because it has the early fighter day scheme before converting to the grey/green in August 1941. A little bit of scalpel work was needed paring the well detailed Hispano cannon to fit into the wings. Some removeable glue was needed to affix the undercarriage in place. The cockpit detail is excellent and I inserted a pilot figure (very scarce) easily into the seat. IMHO it is up to the very high standard of the Gemini Spitfires. I have the Modelzone J.A. Kent Spitfire MkVb which was bloody expensive and not a patch on this Dragon. PWC,PWC | |||||||||||||
