Cool Re: Dragon Big Beautiful Doll

I started my collection with a Corgi Mustang but I've seen the light on this forum and have 4 Dragons including BBD. Now I'm on the hunt for more!

Likewise, I've got four. Don't have BBD, but from what I've seen it's a beautiful model. If you want it - by all means get it!

.... and Skunky was right, ( I don't know if I should say that in public).

Say it loudly,Bns...The truth shall set you free!

Is there anyone else out there who likes the "Special Blue" Planes of Fame?...I do like this one. I think the reason most people probably don't care for it is because it's not an authentic operational scheme...Doesn't bother me at all, as there is one currently flying out there in this very scheme..So it's not entirely like it's a "fantasy bird". I for one would love to see some "showplanes" like Unlimited Racers..(Voodoo,Dego Red, Rare Bear, Miss America, etc.)

For an unpopular scheme, it's ironic that both Draggin' and Corgi put it out, although Corgi's truly does suck of course.

No, I'm with ya on that one Skunk -- I like it probably because I also have the 8th AF set and having both truly sets the Corgi in it's stinky place... but I also like to have models that depicts "real deals" that are still flying...

I think its superb therefore it sits at the front of the display cabinet along with all the other Dragons. BTW Skunky help me out a little here, I am sure I have seen a scheme almost exactly like this on an operational aircraft.

BTW I have the Korean one I think its OK but some dont like it ,am I missing something here?

I like to collect authentic schemes but I also like these off the wall ones that are from planes flying today at the shows. To me its all part of the fun.
Boy am I with you on the Unlimited racer stuff, they rock big time. I have a couple of books on the Reno races complete with big glossy photos of the planes. JUST AWESOME.

God Bless America.

Oh I like mine, especially after I re-painted her to lool like "Old Crow". You must have missed it in the cutomize/repair DG. Otherwise, its a No Go for me.

Re: Dragon Big Beautiful Doll

Dragon made three Chinese AF Mustangs Lzy. They were:
50016A ROCAF Standard Marking,
50016B ROCAF 3rd FW "Pegasus",

and 50016C ROCAF 21st FS, 4th FW.

I think these were pretty much a Hong Kong/mainland China exclusive. They don't come up on ebay that often, that's for sure.

I have merged the "Collecting Dragon P-51Ds" and "BBD" threads.
