Dragon/Cyber-Hobby

Does anyone know if Dragon/Cyber-Hobby plans on making any more planes, The last one I bought from Dragon USA was the P-47 SILVER LADY 61st Fighting Squadron Ace CAG 1944, that was in Sep of 2006. Both Cyber-Hobby and Dragon USA still call it NEW Item.

Re: Dragon/Cyber-Hobby

They need to, and they need to offer them through their dealers. I had a talk with mhackl about this one time. I figure the main reason they faltered early on was because they flooded the market with non-exclusive stuff. They need to offer the entire line with the cyber-hobby appointments at the standard models price in limited runs with numbered certificates. Then, and quite possibly only then, will Dragon regain favor from this collector. I would only assume that others would agree.

The sad thing is that they make a pretty good model. I absolutely love their P-47!

Re: Dragon/Cyber-Hobby

I wish they'd make the following:
Gabreski bubble top P-47 to go with the Razorback
3-tone Hellcat with cat mouth markings and red outlined insignia. I know there is one in the pipeline, but that 3-tone job isn't as sexy as say the HM example

Re: Dragon/Cyber-Hobby

For me it’s too much of hassle dealing with CH or tracking down exclusives elsewhere...Not to mention paying the premium. I’m one of those hobbyists who likes to spend his money on metal planes instead of rarity or anything like that. I too would like to see a bubble top Gabreski, but PLEASE, make it a regular release! Special boxes and certificates don’t float my boat…In fact they’ll sink it because I just won’t buy it. I’m only interested in buying the models themselves and rather not pay an extra cent for added “collectibility.” I’m all for making exclusives for the people who are into that sort of thing, but not at the expense of missing key planes as regular releases.

I've never had a problem ordering or getting a replacement for CH aircraft. I've heard about the 1/35th scale stuff and those headaches. But its been pretty easy with the planes.

Re: Dragon/Cyber-Hobby

I haven't had any problems with planes either (haven't ordered any) but after 1/6 headaches I wrote off the whole operation.
