| 1/72 Cyber Hobby F6F-5 “minsi III” Command CAG 15 USS Essex 44 Has anyone else purchased the 1/72 Cyber Hobby F6F-5 “minsi III” Command CAG 15 USS Essex 44? Left side of the plane: The space between the panel lines located between the name “Minsi III” & the kill markings is blank. Right side of the plane: The space between the panel lines located between the name “Minsi III” & the kill markings has one row of kill markings in it. If the plane really looked this way I would like to know. | |||||||||||||

| Re: 1/72 Cyber Hobby F6F-5 “minsi III” Command CAG 15 USS Essex 44 Most navy planes had their markings on the starboard side due to the fact that they were carrier based, and more people would see them form the island side of the deck. At least that is what I always thought. | |||||||||||||

I have heard the same thing...But i have seen a number of other Navy fighters that had them on both side as well...Kepford's Corsair of the VF-17 Jolly Rogers and a few other VF-17's. I was trying to find a Minsi Hellcat with them on both side and all i found was the starboard side... JP | ||||||||||||||

| Re: 1/72 Cyber Hobby F6F-5 “Minsi III” CAG 15 USS Essex 44 I got mine last night and was a little bummed. There is a gap behind the cockpit and the main body. I filled it with a shim of styrene and painted it, but this example isn't as well done as thier "Cat Mouth" version. I hope their next one turns out better. When viewed from above, it looks like they didn't mate up locations for the kill marks. So you have the one set with the panel line going thru it. - Shawn | |||||||||||||
