Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

I really haven't had any bad models from them yet.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

Kansas Tornado II. It was talked up far too much, and fell far short of my expectations, much like another well-hyped P-47, Corgi's No Guts, No Glory. The lack of any real colour in either subject is what I find the most disappointing.

Really????? I Love my KTII Tbolt.. It is one of my favorites..
I guess it really is "each to his own"....

I really don't own any Dragons that I don't like, the ones I didn't like usually hit the "sales bin" pretty quick..

Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

I'd have to say it's a tie between the F-14 and F-18....Both of mine have about an equal amount of glue holding parts on plus boths sets of landing gear broke while trying to make it fit

Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

I'm pretty happy with all of my Dragon models. If I have a gripe, it's how flimsy the tailwheels are on some Dragon planes -- that's why I support their switch to hard rubber bits for this. (In all fairness, when I snapped a tailwheel on an FW190D, Dragoncare sent me a replacement inside of a week.) Also, the standard-issue Dragon stand doesn't seem quite sturdy enough for the one modern jet I have, an F/A-18C. But the models themselves? Very satisfied. Now, if only they'd add swazis to their Luftwaffe line...

I'm stunned, flabergasted... shocked And curious as to how you were expecting a colorful livery, when all the "hype" pointed to silver paint with invasion stripes -- maybe you should try the 5x5 with the rainbow checkered cowl and pink elephant

I wasn't expecting it to be colorful, I was expecting it to be great, as pretty much everyone who has one said it was. I find it aesthetically dull, and it is the least favourite of the 20 or so Dragons that I own. That's just my opinion. I have the CH Five By Five too, and I absolutely love it. It's one of my favourites.

Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

My choice is the VC-10 FM-2 Wildcat. The "oversized" spinner, total blue coloring, and wrong shaped fin all lead to a major disappointment. Got it because it was the first F4F made - total mistake!

Close behind are my FW-190s. Nothing wrong with the models, but they are German planes and that's not my thing. I've got them because any WWII collection is incomplete without them, but they aren't high on my list of planes I love.

Re: Your #1 least favorite Dragon

Well after learning about the BS color scheme on my P-51D Mustang
USAAF 361st FG, 375th FS, Special Blue Edition
I've lost interest in that bird. Thought I do like the model overall. But that was a bummer finding out the truth. Now I have to pick out another Mustang to keep my collection to three each. And the good ones are gone. I did however get Lil Margret and like it allot.

Don't be ashamed Lofty - my fetish is for P-40s and Corsairs. I've got more of these than is healthy. I've got a few Luftwaffe planes but only to have a "rounded" collection. I'm not fussy about what I buy when it comes to these.
