Weathering on F-18 Chippy Ho, others?

I just got the F-18 "Chippy Ho" 2001 model. I'm very impressed with the weathering that is applied to this model. None of the other dragon models that I have are weathered. Does anyone know of any other dragon models that have weathering?

Welcome to the Forum slammin.
You have pictures to post of your "Chippy Ho" F-18 ?
I think that is the #50024 VFA-195 Dambuster one right?
There is a #50038 VFA-195 nose art one by Dragon but i don't think it's out yet.
Be cool to see it.

Yeah, lets have a look please. (being polite cos you're new like ) Welcome. I didn't even realise Dragon were doing any weathering on their warbirds, let alone jets!

Re: Weathering on F-18 Chippy Ho, others?

Slammin,
Hey there.

Welcome to the forum. Isn't the Chippy Ho F-18 one of Dragon's very early models? Might this have been a one off thing like the pilots figures in the first F-16?

I've got a handful of Dragon jets and I don't recall any of them being weathered.

I have this one (buried in the closet somewhere right now or I'd look) and I don't recall it being weathered either....

Re: Weathering on F-18 Chippy Ho, others?

I'm at work, so I can't take any pictures right now. These are two images that I got off of aiken's airplanes site.
The first is one version of this airplane:DRW50024- no weathering
The second is the model I have (except mine came with bombs) DRW50056
You can see the weathering on the panel lines.

Re: Weathering on F-18 Chippy Ho, others?

The Chippy Ho is my favorite and the weathering is just perfect. The Black TOP GUN F-18 (redeemable with 100 Draggin points) is also weathered, though mine isn't too noticeable.
