Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

The Cripes A'Mighty Mustang lends itself well for any costumizing job! It's kinda sad Draggin is retiring the P-51 mold - if true?

Funny thing is.....Dragon was going to do a Cripes A Mighty a while back.
I have not heard anymore about it.
It was thought to be a plastic model at first when another member on here said something about it on the old MH1.
Then was told by a dealer that Dragon will have Mustang out before the year is up....Which one ?? i don't know.
I can't find anything on it.

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

I have BBD. What the difference between Millie G & Millie P?

The plane is actually Millie G. The pilots last name is Giller, so I imagine G is correct, don't you?

That's correct, this aircraft has sometimes been misnamed the "Millie P", because of the way the "G" was painted on the nose, it does look a bit like a cursive "P", hence the confusion...it was flown by Maj. Edward Giller and his wife's name was Mildred.

Smile Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

Appreciate the insights guys. Thanks. I've been looking at Dragon P51s on the net and was wondering about the letters because the planes looked the same.

Cool Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

I'm a Korean War veteran who was lucky enough to get posted to Germany. So it follows that my favorite Mustang is the Shark's Mouth from the 12th TBS/18th FBG, stationed in Korea in 1951. The livery is a little much, but that's what it was and that's the way she sits on my mantle.

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

Big Beautiful Doll is a must have! I also really like my "Millie G", great paint scheme.

Yes, "Millie G" is very sharp looking. One of the "must have" Dragon Mustangs. I actually like it better than BBD I always thought BBD was just a little over done......but that's just me

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

If you can find one you better grab it, as they seem to be getting very scarce!!! I got one when Martin @ the Mule got them in a couple of years ago and I have to tell you that it is very nice, has the D-Day Invasion stripes too!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

I'm currently following leads to get 50001 & 50003. I also like the green E2-S. Checked out Lil' Margaret too, also very nice. Like I said elsewhere there's always something out there trying to pry that hard earned cash from your wallet!

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

Dragon's OD green E2-S is one good looking Mustang- IMO one of the best on the market. The silver even looks right. Hands down Dragon owns the P-51 market and I'm in the process of adding another one to the stable. I'd like to see some new releases though of some of the more colorful liveries.
