Martlesham Heath. I like to just look around that picture and try to think what it would have been like to be there.

No kidding......I think it would of been a blast to be alive back then and be a fighter pilot of a P-51 fighter.
I wish Dragon hurry up and make the "The Lord is my Shepard" .
Something must be holding it up. Who know what that could be.

IMHO "Shepard" is one of the most striking liveries of the war. Must have this one- if and when it comes out.

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

I would bet the farm that we NEVER, EVER see this from dragon!!!! Let's see, going on three years now since it was first announced?????? Dragon could have kicked alot of a$$ with their P-51, but instead they chose to go with the FW's, 109's, etc. Don't get me wrong, these are nice planes too, but dragon just leaves the main paint scheme and then changes the numbers and nose art and BAMM we got another one to sell!!!! Oh poor dragon, you are just going to end up on the back burner!!!!

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

Has anyone heard anything from Dragon in regards to why they retired their P-51 and early F-16 moulds? Did they break the moulds? (Can you replace a brokwne mould?)

If the start up costs for a new mould are anything resembling the numbers posted previously on the forum, then I'm amazed that any moulds ever get retired.

Re: Dragon P51D Mustangs

I bought extra ones to redo myself just in case Hmmmm......maybe I'll do The Lord is My Shepherd.......THEN they'll bring it out

The Cripes A'Mighty Mustang lends itself well for any costumizing job! It's kinda sad Draggin is retiring the P-51 mold - if true?
