Marushin repaint..

I got tired of waiting for Marushin to offer a Frank repaint and finally acquired an extra Silver Ki-84 Frank from a fellow forum member, so I decided to try my hand at repainting one. I really love this scheme, but I have never been able to find a good reference pic of it, so I had to go off artwork and similar schemes on other types to get it as close as I could. The tail is still bare as I need to paint a diagonal red w/white border stripe across it.
I'd also like to thank wmosner for the donor aircraft.

Excellent job Harry. One of the best repaints I have seen.

Re: Marushin repaint..

Hello Frank!

Great job Harry. Did you use acrylics or enamels? Did you approach this freehand?

Very nice work.

Thanks for the comments guys..

Ara, I used Tamiya acrylics and freehanded the camo in with my airbrush. Needless to say, My hand was cramping close to the end of the paint session, but I think it turned out nicely.

You can say that last part again, Harry. That's a great repaint and the markings look very realistic.
