A Few Of My Axis Fighter Diecast Repaints

I seem to be fascinated by Axis fighters. More interesting schemes, maybe?

Excellent Epapazian,
the repaint on the 262 is first class and a more accurate scheme than the original.

Re: A Few Of My Axis Fighter Diecast Repaints

Neat collection, just wish some of these paint schemes would make it to the diecast world.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Great job on the repaints! How many aircraft do you have total Epapazian? Are they all displayed? You should get a job with Dragon/Whitty/Gemini Aces or Corgi for new paint schemes for Axis WWII aircraft! Don't forget to add the tail swaizs on Dragon and Corgi Warbird issues though please, just like you have done in your pictures.

Thanks, Mike. Because I bought a lot of "extras" at the outset of planes like Corgi's Zero, BF-109E , P-40 and FW-190 and did the same with Matchbox, IXO, Model Power and Dragon versions of famous fighters, I have a huge surplus of potential repaints---probably numbering about 300 "spares". These, of course, are stored away for later use---if ever. My real collection--the ones I display---includes roughly 350 models. In addition, I have about 200 others that I dont plan to repaint, except for some weathering and other small adjustments, salted away until I rotate them into my display cases. As I just indicated in another thread, I no longer buy the huge numbers of diecast models and, especially "extras", than in years past. I'm finding that less can be more if one becomes a selective and diciplined collector.

The number 8 ME-109 in the fifth picture is amazing! Excellent work.
