decal help

I just purchased an FM HE-111 (polish campaign) and noticed that the decal has "flaking" or small chips missing on the white portion of the cross. I was wondering whats the best way of correcting this? Will liquid paper work?

Thanks

Thumbs up Re: decal help

My large cross had a small chip at the forward outboard corner of the right wing. Looks like it was caused by the styrofoam packing rubbing on it in the box. I used (actually my wife- she's the artist) Tamiya white X-2, item 81502 and a small nice brush. A near perfect color match on mine. The hobby shop had one on display and the workers helped me match it up. For the thin black line, I used an ultra-fine tip black Sharpie. Hope this helps, this is the only die-cast I've got that I had to do some touch up work on.

Re: decal help

Thanks a lot for your help. I was worried that liquid paper might be too thick, but I think I'm going to go with your suggestion.
