Witty Su-37 custom conversion

Just thought I'd give you Flanker fans a preview of my Witty Su-27 to Su-37 conversion project. Unfortunately, the upload process downgrades the picture quality, so the woodgrain pattern, on the table, makes the lerx and canards look like they have jagged edges.

Looks good so far. Can't wait to see it fully painted up.

Re: Witty Su-37 custom conversion

I scribed the LERX panel lines and primed them this weekend. The pics aren't so good, but I'll post some better ones once I've completed the canards.

Re: Witty Su-37 custom conversion

Removed Witty's stubby little excuse for an IRST sensor and scratch built a new one off right. Also added a photo that shows the scribed LERX panel lines better...

Re: Witty Su-37 custom conversion

Shaped, scribed & primed the canards. Also primed the IRST. At this stage, the physical conversion is pretty much done. Still gotta figure out how to represent the recess for the refueling probe, though. I guess this would be a Chinese Su-37MKK, if there was such a thing.

Turned out terrific! I'm impressed, great job!

Now, I can't wait to see how you transform the FM 1:48th MiG-29 Fulcrum into a badd bird!

Thanks! I'm still planning on painting the Su-37 in the sand/brown splinter camo paint scheme. As far as the FM MiG-29 is concerned, I"ve decided to convert that into a MiG-29UB. That project will get underway in Sept.

Btw, here's a very nice scheme for your MiG-29UB.
