Re: Do you customize your diecasts?

I've made some repairs, but I've never weathered one (it's a lack of talent thing), though I love to see it when others do.

Re: Do you customize your diecasts?

I wouldn't dare custumizing! Even getting them out of their box is a challenge to me...
But! In the near future I will be moving in with my girlfriend who has the room to accomodate me ánd my hobby..!

Can we try with real bullets now?

Talking Re: Do you customize your diecasts?

I too don't have the required space to set out doing anything too ambitious. So far, I've added gun ports and pilot to my WB Bader Spitfire Mk Va. It turned out very good -- no broken canopies. I also did some detailed painting of my Dams Lanc landing gear. That looks good too. Any additional may just be confined to detail painting of the landing gear, where required.

More recently, though, I have considered putting together a kit of the Bristol Blenheim Mk I. Now that is a small plane, so I should be able to do the work on the equivalent of a serving tray so I can put it away during its various stages of assembly and painting without fear of interfering in the day-to-day of our household. The goal will be only to build and paint this so it 'looks' like it came from Corgi. I think that is doable and my skills are up to it. Since I live in a one bedroom apartment, I do have to consider my wife's wishes as well. NOW -- if we had a house, well that would be veeeerrrryyyy different!!
