Exclamation Dragon F-16I Sufa Conversion

You have no idea how hard it's been for me to keep this project quiet! Here's what happens when you take a diecast Dragon F-16D, use the Isracast 1/72 scale F-16I Sufa conversion set, and A LOT of work. My father stripped the D and performed the conversion. A good friend of ours, and master modeler, did an incredible job on the Israeli paint scheme. After painting, my father then finished the decaling and weathering. After all that, I'm the lucky one who gets to add this little beauty to my collection.

Here's what went into the conversion:

Diecast Dragon F-16D, this was the Spangdhalem bird
Isracast 1/72 scale F-16I Sufa conversion set
Hasegawa Weapons Set for the LANTIRN and Lightning II pods
Revell 1/72 scale F-16 horizontals, tail, and burner-can...the new burner-can gives it the correct Pratt & Whitney F100 powerplant
IsraDecal F-16I Sufa decal sheet made by Cartograf for the Bat Squadron markings.

Before:

After...Enjoy!

Geez Tundra, what a great conversion your father and friend did on this plane. I found a similar view of the real plane to one pic you posted (click here for more info and images for this plane):

They did some terrific work on this Tundra. You sound awfully proud and have every right to be! Excellent!

*BTW, the web site the link goes to has some terrific IAF info and pics if anyone is interested. FYI

The Dragon F-15E (or D?) would be a good base since it already have the CFTs mounted. Just need to add the appropriate weapons pylons/racks accessories. Please post that on here too when you have it completed. Thanks!

Btw, I'm still in awe of your F-16I Sufa. It's nice to have a unique a/c type in your collection and add to the display!
