New paint scheme for a GMP

Some of you guys might think I am nuts, but I have all of the GMP birds. Now I would never change anything on the only example of a m odel I have. So I bought another GMP P-40 from skysurfer and am in the process of changing it's markings over to a P-40 warbird that flew on the airshow circuit. This airplane flew with the National Warplane Museum as R.T. Smith's #77 Flying Tiger. What is wild is that after it left the NWPM it went to a private owner who resotred it in the markings of the "Old Exterminator" that GMP modeled the aircraft after. I started by stripping the national insignias, serial number, and small items off of it. Next will come a repaint, and decals. I will post pics.

Re: New paint scheme for a GMP

Here you go guys. I hope you like it. Sorry the pics are not a little better, but I am new to photgraphign models. There is a slight blue mark in these photos on the wing od the aircraft that has since been removed.

Great Job Mustangdriver;

I'm glad to see the Scott P-40E found a good new home, and a new livery to boot. I really think that more of us ought to do diecast modeling, if for no other reason that it will be possible to have the customization of plastic modeling with the durability of diecast.
