Best way to re-paint a Dragon bird

I'm thinking of taking the Dragon P-47 Saucy Suzie and turning it into an OD version. Whats the best way to repaint, save any insignia etc...
I'm an armor building guy so this is alittle out of my realm.

Hi Shawn,

You could consider any of the latex-based liquid masking compounds to cover the insignia and canopy, then airbrush the whole. There's a free downloadable modeling booklet available from FineScale Modeler magazine here:
http://www.finescale.com/fsm/objects/pdf/fsmbooklet.pdf

Did I mention it's free?

I would expect to pay $59.95 for something of that description.

Nope, I'd pay cash.

Free booklets of this nature typically cost $9.95 - but only if your name is "Skunky" - payable to my PayPal account.
