Not sure if this is the right section for this, but here I go.

I may have access to an inexpensive source for the Testors 1:48 scale Metal Body model kits. They are diecast metal body's with plastic details that come pre-primed and ready for paint. I can pick up a numbers of Mustang's Fw 190's, F-14's, and I think F-18's. Does anybody know if these are nice kits. Is the detail nice. Is there any demand for them if I buy a bunch and sell some later on (or if I can't get around to finishing them.)

Any input is appreciated.

Not too sure about supply and demand with those compared to regular Franklin Mint models. To me they are more like super plastic kits. I have the 1/48 Mackits for the F-117 and F/A-18C and intend to hold on to the Hornet, for a future model project. I don't know whether they will be really collectible later, but they do enable you to customize a model according to your own tastes.

But is the quality about the same as a Franklin Mint? Hate to buy a bunch of these and then find they are IXO quality. Not that my painting skills will make them any better, but would like a good quality plane to start with.
