Need help detailing Witty Sea Fury

My Witty Sea Fury (HMS Sydney version) is my first from the company. Seen from above the model is a thing of beauty. But underneath it is underwhelming due to lack of detail or color aside from the livery on the wings. The wheel wells, wheel struts and rockets are monochromatic and are the same color as the underside of the plane. Yawn.

I tried looking for pics on the web and only found one web site with detailed pics of the underside of the real plane. Sure enough, the one in the pics shared the same monochrome coloration (no rockets however). But pics of other Sea Furies appear to show the wheel struts as either clean steel or painted grey.

So I am hoping some of our resident propellor heads might have some idea as to what I can do to make the bottom a little more interesting and correct. On this type of plane, in this service/period, what would the correct paint be? And what and how should the rockets be painted?

Thanks to anyone who cares to offer an opinion on this.

Thanks to anyone who cares to offer an opinion on this.

i think [but I'm not 100% certain] that the rockets were black during the Korean war - don't know anyone can confirm this
its certainly the color i was going to paint them - i shall watch how this thread develops!

Thanks Hitch, I'm glad I am not the only one wanting to do this. Help isn't coming to quick though so we may be on our own.

rockets black with green warheads, some sea furies had silver undercarriage legs and interior green wheel bays. also some had black walkway panels on the top of the wings.the aerial on the top of the fuselage is better replaced with some fishing line
