well this a great piece of info, thats it I'm not buying one.
I like to fly without special gloves.

Don't get me wrong...
There great looking fighter planes.
They just need a little extra TLC

Hey there.

To me the chrome makes the birds look more toy-like. I own a couple and while they are nice birds, they are the most toy-like planes of my collection. I think Corgi could do better.

All variations on polished/chromed models that I have seen have been clear coated and thus can be handled without worry of tarnishing. They can be shined, but I would strongly advise against using any type of polish.
