Wilde Sau 109s

I just ordered both Wilde Sau 109 from the mule. Was wondering if anyone has them and what they think? Just recently purchased both volumes from Eagle Editions, which may have stimulated my purchasing them, but I do like the paint schemes.

Re: Wilde Sau 109s

I've got them both (heck, I've got all of the big 109s) and like Red 6 more than Black 8. The paint scheme on it and the all black underside make it look very menacing. Black 8 is a nice bird, but in my humble opinion is at the bottom of the list when compared to the other 1/32 109s (but still much better than a lot of the other Corgi 1/32 birds, I mean it is a 109 after all). I don't think you'll be disappointed in your purchase.

Re: Wilde Sau 109s

I couldn't see the unit symbols very well, do they have some good detail?

Re: Wilde Sau 109s

They do have good detail actually. All the 109s are winners especially for $50-$80 depending on the model.

Surprised they don't fetch more considering how the Spits are pricey and rare. More likely we see another large scale P-51 or Spitfire in 10 years than _____.
My guess is that a 32nd 109 of this quality will not be made again and these and the Mossies will be very valuable down the road.

Re: Wilde Sau 109s

I concur with Parsig - these will soon be in short supply much like the Spits.

I bought Red 6 from the Mule over the weekend, this was the only Wilde Sau I was after as the scheme really appeals - something different, same with the Ehrle.

Also bought a Hackl 109 from Parsig over the weekend which completes my wish list of the Corgi 1/32 Bf-109 models (Barkhorn, Ehrle, Red 6, Hackl & Hartmann).

Take it out and play with it

Re: Wilde Sau 109s

Both books from Eagle Editions are perfect. I have all the Corgi 1/32 Messerschmitts but i like the books a little bit better . They are the new standard in Unit histories (Off-Topic). You cant go wrong with the Wilde Sau 109, all from Corgi are great models.

Yeah mate! Had it, sold it. The prop colour looked wrong to me... I'm happy with just the 5 109's. On the other hand the wife is NOT happy with the weekend's purchases, & i'm outa storeage space!!

Take it out and play with it

I love these Corgi birds, Red 6 for me is a particularly fine model, yes there is something that makes this one stand out.
I like the scheme and of course the superb quality of the mold.
All in all a fine group of warbirds.

Its nice to note that some of you gentlemen suffer the same problems with space and of course the other half !
This place sure does help a guy out when it comes sympathy and understanding !
