Donnie Boy

The flood gates are open for sure . Just got E-mail confirmation from the Mule that My Don Gentile P-47D is on route . then got another E-mail from another supplier that the 109 and Hurricane from Model Zone is also in, and earlier in the week was told to expect the CC Wellington, and Bismark Swordfish to be in this week. Me thinks the credit card is going to get a big dent in it . Also forgot the Spit I purchased from Tri -Motor which is also en route and probably stuck with a customs man

Re: Donnie Boy

Just found out that the Cat's probably going to be in next week now too Not sure how I'm going to explain the arrival of all these at once to my better half. But I think a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates might help hopefully I don't have to hit the jeweler's.

Re: Donnie Boy

Just got the Donnie Spit and Swordfish. I have the Gemini 109 and B on the way and the MZ planes but will not get the T-bolt until the P-38 and/or Sea Fire come in. Whew... Jewelry store, now that is an idea.

Like I said on the old forum; I told my wife I'm having a mid-life crisis....it's either diecast or a 20 year old blond! I'm still trying to figure out if I made the right choice

Re: Donnie Boy

Probably more depreciation in the 20 year old blonde.

Stick to collecting.

My logic for spending what I do (which is a lot less than it used to be) is that I don't smoke and i drink in moderation so in other words I don't waste TOOOOO much money with nothing to show for it.

Re: Donnie Boy

I know that I spend less now on diecast then I did at clubs when I was single. My wife would rather me spend the money on diecast then in bars.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Donnie Boy

My wife liked it better when I was hanging out all night in bars...she says at least back then I wasn't cluttering up all the available shelf and cabinet space in the house with beer cans.....
