Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

I think I am going to get another one to go with my Bismark one

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

Sorry to hear that you got a bummer Swordfish Celtic My Gladiator had kinked rigging that I was able to straighten out, thank goodness, and a messed up place in the white paint on the bottom. I didn't want to rain on everybody's parade, so I never mentioned that my Swordfish had a messed up place in the yellow area of the right fuselage roundel, which I had to touch up, the propeller was put on crooked, and the torpedo has glue messed up all over it. At least the rigging is straight. I will be quite happy with it once I fix everything

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

Thanks alot everyone -- thanks to all the waxing poetic about this Bismark Swordfish, a model I WAS going to stay away from... attempted to draw a line in the sand at "no biplanes" simply for the sake of fiscal sanity, and shrinking storage space. However, after reading post after post of all this good stuff, I could not hold out -- ordered it last night

It better be good!

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

I got this one (Bismark) and it was so cool I had to order the other one as well. Now I have it and the "Death Rattlers" Corsair on the way.

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

OK, folks, you all have raved about the Swordfish (and the Gladiator), and what with the Mule's special shipping (no charge for $50 or more), I went ahead and ordered them a few minutes ago. Cannot wait to get them, but I'll have to, as it usually takes about a week.

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

I have to say that this one was never on my list of planes to get. After seeing the pictures and reading the reviews, however, I have to get at least one...or two...or three...

Re: Rank the Corgi Swordfish

Okay to all of you that pushed me over the edge and MADE me order the Bismark Swordfish I want to say........

Thanks!

Just received it and took a look at it and it is one sweet piece of diecast. No blemishes on my model, no rigging issues, just a slight gap where one of the wings swings shut. Absolutly stunning model. Well-done Corgi. Makes me want to get a Gladiator too... My wife keeps saying "be happy with what you have" I'm trying to listen!
