I am the prodigal son (I think)

As of late I have purchased a Corgi Sea Gladiator and a silver Swordfish. Both of these planes have brought Corgi back into the spotlight in my display area. The Swordfish with it's details like folding fully rigged wings and the most detailed 1/72 crew figures made to date (by anyone) has left me dazed. I will be receiving the camo Swordfish tomorrow. The panel lines, rivet heads, working tailhook, machine gun, and torpedo just set it off. I am finally very impressed and I think if Corgi can maintain even this level of detail and workmanship, I will continue to allocate funds to this company's products. Well done and finally, Corgi you listened and have shown you want to stay on top. This hobby is getting better by the day.

Re: I am the prodigal son (I think)

Great feedback Louie. I'm looking forward to the Sea Gladiator and silver Swordfish.

I've been having challenges with selecting models taking into account everyone's views. It's good to see that the likes of Corgi can pull things back.

I am really excited about the Catalina's and hope they also continue this newest trend.

Yes the Cat looks really good. My problem is that my currency is weakening against the US$ and British £.

I've already had to stop getting things from the UK. Today things are looking more bleak with the R/US$ approaching 8 to 1 and R/£ 15 to 1.

I'm already taking strain with my pre-orders.

Louie, thanks for your report. Go ask for your commission from TFM, because I finally broke down and got it because of all the good words...and yours was the last straw...does anyone offer a diecast Visa? Low interest, frequent buyer benefits, AARP supplement...

Louie thanks for the review I like to hear good news about Corgi. Infact you prompted me to buy a Sea Gladiator when I actually decided to pass on it

Re: I am the prodigal son (I think)

you are most welcome my friends. I would never steer you wrong if I can help it. I am becoming more of a tight wad as the offerings increase and I am oh so tired of having to turn around and e-bay stuff I just bought. I cannot imagine selling my Swordfish or Gladiator ever!
